1. Business Ethics Policies

 

1.1 All business activities shall adhere to the principles of integrity, prohibiting any form of corruption, bribery, extortion, embezzlement of public funds, money laundering, etc., and shall implement monitoring procedures to ensure compliance with the requirements of clean operation

1.2 No bribery or other forms of undue benefits shall be provided or accepted, and the value of appropriate gifts shall be moderate;

1.3 Respect for intellectual property rights, technology and experience transfer, proper protection of intellectual property rights, and implementation of measures to protect the information of interested parties;

1.4 Strict compliance with all applicable fair competition laws and antitrust laws, no employee should manipulate, use privileged information, or otherwise obtain unfair benefits in an unfair manner. The company adheres to standards of fair trade, advertising, and competition;

1.5 Establish procedures to protect whistleblowers, including employees and interested parties.

2. Employment Policies

 

2.1 Protection of Child Labor and Adolescent Labor

2.1.1 The company does not employ or support the use of child labor;

2.1.2 The company regulates to employ underage workers;

2.2 Prevention of Forced and Compulsory Labor

2.2.1 The company does not use or support forced or compulsory labor, including prison labor, and does not require employees to pay any “deposit” or deposit identity documents when hired;

2.2.2 The company and entities providing labor for the company do not withhold any wages, benefits, property, or documents from employees to force them to work continuously for the company;

2.2.3 Employees have the right to leave the workplace after completing standard working hours. Employees may terminate their employment contract freely after giving the company legal notice.

2.3 Working Hours and Rest Time Requirements

2.3.1 The company complies with applicable laws and industry standards regarding working hours and public holidays;

2.3.2 Employees are entitled to at least one day off after working six consecutive days, and all overtime is voluntary.

2.4 Guarantee of Basic Wages and Social Insurance

2.4.1 The company pays all employees wages that meet the minimum wage standards set by local governments and at least provides employees with benefits in accordance with national legal standards;

2.4.2 Overtime pay is paid in accordance with legal requirements;

2.4.3 When hiring employees, their working conditions, salary, and payment cycle shall be specified in advance in a language understandable to the employees and in writing. Wages shall not be deducted as a punishment for employees, and any deductions shall be clearly explained to the employees;

2.4.4 The timing of wage payments shall be in accordance with local government regulations, with no arrears or delays, etc.;

2.4.5 The company provides employees with social insurance, work injury insurance, and other insurances required by local laws or government regulations and pays the corresponding insurance premiums in accordance with the law.

2.5 Establishment of Employee Rights Protection System

2.5.1 The company shall establish regulations to protect the rights of employees, including labor hours, vacations, salary payments, remuneration, labor discipline, dismissal, and related rights. These regulations shall be publicly available in an appropriate manner for employees to access at any time;

2.5.2 The company shall establish a vocational training system to provide planned vocational training to workers based on the actual needs of the company.

2.6 Labor Contracts

2.6.1 The company shall sign labor contracts with employees, and the conclusion and amendment of labor contracts shall follow the principles of equality, voluntariness, and mutual agreement, without violating laws and administrative regulations;

2.6.2 The company shall terminate employee labor contracts in accordance with legal provisions and provide written notice and compensation to the parties involved as required by law.

2.7 Protection of Women’s Rights

2.7.1 Except for positions or jobs unsuitable for women as stipulated by the state, women shall have equal employment opportunities with men;

2.7.2 The company shall not assign female employees to perform prohibited labor as stipulated by the state;

2.7.3 The company shall not assign female employees to perform tasks at heights, in low temperatures, cold water operations, or other prohibited labor as stipulated by the state during menstruation;

2.7.4 The company shall not assign female employees to perform prohibited labor as stipulated by the state during pregnancy; female employees shall be entitled to no less than the maternity leave prescribed by laws and regulations;

2.7.5 The company shall not assign female employees to engage in prohibited labor, extend their working hours, or work night shifts during the period when their infant is under one year old;

2.7.6 The company strictly implements the protection of female employees in accordance with the relevant contents of the Special Regulations on Labor Protection of Female Employees at Jiangsu Province.

2.8 Disciplinary Measures

2.8.1 The company shall treat all personnel with dignity and respect, shall not engage in or support corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion, verbal insults, or treat workers in a violent or inhumane manner.

2.9 Elimination of Discrimination Systems and Behaviors

2.9.1 In matters related to employment, compensation, training opportunities, promotion, dismissal, or retirement, the company shall not engage in or support discrimination based on race, ethnicity, social origin, social class, lineage, religion, physical disability, gender, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, marital status, union membership, political views, age, or other factors;

2.9.2 The company shall respect employees of different races and religions and provide necessary facilities and conditions for their customs;

2.9.3 The company shall not allow any threatening, abusive, exploitative behavior or coercive sexual harassment in the workplace or in premises provided by the company for employees’ use, including gestures, language, and physical contact;

2.9.4 The company shall not require employees to undergo pregnancy or virginity tests under any circumstances

2.10 Respect for Employees’ Association and Rights to Equal Negotiation and Communication

2.10.1 The company shall establish a labor union to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of employees and enable them to carry out activities independently in accordance with the law;

2.10.2 Employees have the right, in accordance with legal provisions, to participate in democratic management or enjoy the right to equal negotiation to protect their legitimate rights and interests through labor unions;

2.10.3 The company ensures that employees participating in labor unions are not discriminated against, harassed, coerced, or retaliated against because of their membership in the labor union, and employee representatives can maintain contact with the employees they represent at the workplace.

3. Health and Safety Policies

 

3.1 Safe and Healthy Working Conditions

3.1.1 The company shall provide a safe and healthy working environment and take effective measures to minimize the hazards in the working environment to avoid harm to health during work or due to work-related accidents;

3.1.2 The company shall provide employees with effective health and safety instructions, including on-site instructions and specialized work instructions;

3.1.3 The company shall provide employees with appropriate and comprehensive health and safety training so that they can fully understand the dangerous factors related to the work process and working environment and how to minimize risks. Training shall be provided to new employees, employees transferred to other positions, and employees working at accident-prone locations;

3.1.4 The company establishes mechanisms to detect, prevent, and address potential threats to the health and safety of any employee. The company keeps written records of all incidents occurring in the workplace and within company-controlled residences and properties;

3.1.5 The company provides labor safety and hygiene conditions that comply with national and local regulations, along with necessary labor protection equipment. It conducts regular health checks for employees engaged in hazardous work and provides specialized training for those engaged in special operations, requiring them to obtain qualifications for such operations;

3.1.6 In the event of a work-related injury, the company provides first aid and assists employees in obtaining follow-up treatment.

3.1.7 The company provides all employees with clean and hygienic restroom facilities, drinking water, and, when necessary, facilities for storing food;

3.1.8 The company provides employee dormitories that are clean, safe, and meet basic employee needs.

3.1.9 All personnel have the right to leave imminent serious danger, even without the company’s permission;

3.1.10 The company acknowledges and assesses emergencies and incidents, minimizing their impact by implementing emergency plans and procedures, including emergency reporting, employee notification and evacuation procedures, worker training and drills, appropriate fire detection and extinguishing equipment, adequate exit facilities, and recovery plans;

3.1.11 The company establishes processes for investigating, analyzing, and statistically tracking work-related injuries to reduce accident and injury rates.

4. Environmental Policies

 

4.1 Environmental Protection

4.1.1 Obtain all necessary environmental permits (e.g., emission monitoring), approvals, and documents, maintaining and updating them, and complying with operational and reporting requirements of the permits.

4.1.2 Identify and control hazardous chemicals and other substances released into the environment to ensure their safe handling, transportation, storage, use, recycling, or disposal.

4.1.3 Classify, monitor, control, and treat wastewater and solid waste generated from operations, industrial processes, and sanitation facilities before discharge or disposal as required.

4.1.4 Identify, monitor, control, and treat volatile organic compounds, aerosols, particulates, ozone-depleting substances, and combustion exhaust emissions generated in the production process before discharge as required.

4.1.5 Comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the prohibition or restriction of specific substances (including labeling for recycling and disposal) and customer requirements.

4.2 Energy Conservation and Emissions Reduction

4.2.1 Reduce and eliminate all types of consumption (including water, electricity, natural gas, and paper) from the source or through practices (such as improving production processes, maintaining equipment, substituting materials, conserving natural resources, recycling, and reuse).

4.2.2 Continuously introduce new technologies and products for energy, material, and land conservation.

4.2.3 Increase the proportion of green and renewable energy use, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and achieve a low-carbon economy.

4.2.4 Improve equipment efficiency, reduces product energy consumption, promotes dynamic energy saving, and reduces travel traffic;

4.2.5 Promote packaging standardization to realize visual green packaging and logistics.

5.Avoidance of Special Risk Areas

 

5.1 The company shall not procure or sell goods from risk areas such as war zones or regions with severe human rights violations (e.g., weapons manufacturers, traffickers, or terrorist organizations). Attached (Special Risk Areas): Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran, Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, or Zambia, among others.

6. Supplier Social Accountability Management

 

6.1 The company manages suppliers/subcontractors based on this statement, including but not limited to audits, improvement tracking, influence, training, and risk management.

6.2 The company maintains appropriate records to demonstrate supplier/subcontractor commitments to social responsibility, including but not limited to contract agreements and/or written commitments.

6.3 The company establishes and maintains appropriate procedures, documented in writing, to consider the ability and commitment of suppliers/subcontractors to meet the requirements of this standard when evaluating and selecting them.

6.4 The company endeavors to ensure that suppliers and subcontractors within its control and influence can meet all the requirements of this standard.

7.Principles of Social Accountability Procurement

 

7.1 For newly introduced suppliers, certify them based on this statement and supplier site audit standards. If they do not meet the requirements of this social accountability statement, they must formulate improvement plans for compliance within the specified time frame; otherwise, they cannot become qualified suppliers for the company. Given equal conditions, the company prioritizes selecting companies that excel in social accountability as cooperation suppliers.

7.2 For previously qualified suppliers, conduct supplementary certification based on this social accountability statement. If their social responsibility projects do not meet our requirements, suppliers must formulate improvement plans and implement them within the specified time frame.

7.3 The company encourages and guides suppliers to fully meet the requirements of this social accountability statement.

7.4 The company requires suppliers to comply with relevant international, national, and local laws and regulations. If national laws conflict with these standards, the company adopts higher standards consistent with national laws. If legal provisions do not conflict with this social accountability but specify different content, the company adopts provisions that better protect employee interests.
